Sprout Black Gram Curry (Kala Chana)

Black gram curry is tasty and healthy Indian curry recipes. Black gram sprout are high in protiens and easy to digest tremendous source of digestive enzymes and also rich in amino acids, vitamins, fibers, low in fat and have very low glycemic index.
- 2 Cup Black gram sprouted
- 1/2 Cup Onion
- 1 Cup Fresh Tomato (1 Medium tomato)
- 1 tsp Finely choped Garlic ( If you like)
- 1 tsp Finely choped Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Finely choped Green Pepper
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin Seed
- 1 Bay leaf
- few Curry leaves
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Gram masala
- 1/4 tsp Red chili or per your taste
- 1/2 tsp Salt according to taste
- 1/4 cup Coriander fresh leaves
- 1 tsp lemon juice or according to taste
It is easy to make is very filling can eat with bread, chapati, Puri, other bread and Rice.
Step by Step Instructions
Boil 2 cups of Spouted Black Gram with 1 cup of water. In cooker for 20 minutes or 3-4 wistle.
Cut and keep onion, tomato, garlic, ginger, green pepper and coriander. Keep them aside.
Take a pan add 3 table spoon oil, heat it and add cumin seeds, Asafoetida (Hing) powder, bay leaves, curry leaves, after little brown add onion and roast all till golden brown.
Add all spices to the onion and after 2-3 min saute add cut tomatos. Let it cook untill tomatos are nicely cooked. and you can see it little oily. Add boilded Black Gram to it. Add a cup and 1/2 of water and let it simmer for 5 minutes. add gram masala to it,
After cooking is done turn off the stove and add lemon and garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with any bread or rice.
