Sattu is one of the most indigenous protein sources eaten in India, it also has long been used to cool down the body. Its mostly eaten in summer time. Sattu is rich in Fiber protein, calcium, iron, and magnesium. It is easily effortable. Growing up we always had at home when we felt little hungry we could eat it without much effort. It is eaing different ways.
- 2 Cup Roasted Black gram
- 1/8 Cup Raw brown Sugar (According to your taste and great raw and unprocessed sugar for vegan option)
- 1 pinch Saffron
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom
Sattu can be eaten at any time as a snack. Usually, it is eaten as Breakfast. It is quick to make take seconds and taste amazing.
Step by Step Instructions
Take 2 cups of roasted skined black gram. I roast it again for 5 mints and let it cool.
Add Cardamom, Sugar, and Saffron.
Grind all together slowly to powder. Don’t let it over heat.
Remove and place it in glass container preferably in refrigerator to remain fresh.
Put 3 tablespoons an a bowl and add water 3 tablespoon mix well and enjoy delicious Sattu. You can add acording to consistency you like to eat. ready to eat. ready in secods.
